Chemical Logistics GTI duo, Julian, KC to fight it out

Chemical Logistics Racing heads to Zwartkops’ National Extreme Festival as 2026 South African Touring Cars Champions. The only aspect left to be decided, is which of its Investchem WCT Volkswagen Golf teammates, Julian van der Watt or KC Ensor-Smith, will wear the crown.

“Our job is half done as we head to Zwartkops,” Investchem WCT Volkswagen Golf team manager Stuart Thompson explains. “Julian and KC have done a mighty job this season to arrive at the Zwartkops finale with only the two of them left in the title fight. Now we just wait to see which of them will pop the bubbly.”

With 33 points available from Saturday’s races, van der Watt’s We Buy Cars Investchem WCT Volkswagen Golf teammates arrives with a 24 point advantage. Which also means that all Julian need do, is to follow KC Ensor-Smith’s African Heating version home to wrap up a much deserved maiden South African Touring Cars championship.

Behind them, it’s also close in the Chemical Logistics’ FAST BMW 128ti side of the garage. Keegan Campos has piled on the points since his late start to the season in his Veloce Campos car, while Andrew Schofield is looking to repeat his maiden win at Zwartkops aboard his FlySafair BMW 128ti earlier in the season.
