- Continental receives original-equipment approval for Audi Q3
- EcoContact 6 Q is approved for sizes from 18 to 20 inches
Continental supplies factory-fitted tyres for the new Audi Q3 compact SUV, having been granted original equipment approvals for the EcoContact 6 Q.
The EcoContact 6 Q is a summer tyre designed for particularly low rolling resistance and high energy efficiency. A specially developed rubber compound and an optimised tread pattern reduce rolling resistance, helping to lower fuel consumption. At the same time, the tyre impresses with low rolling noise and short braking distances on both wet and dry surfaces. The EcoContact 6 Q is approved for the Audi Q3 in 18-, 19- and 20-inch sizes.
Advanced Green Green Chili™ 2.0 compound
The EcoContact 6 Q uses Continental’s advanced Green Chili 2.0 silica compound that improves rolling resistance to reduce both fuel consumption and CO2 emiisions. The compound also reduces tyre wear, contributing to higher mileage.
The EcoContact 6 Q has a tailor-made tread pattern, along with asymmetric rib and sipe geometry, which help maintain control whatever the conditions – wet or dry.
It also provides low sound emissions thanks to enhanced pattern technologies in the tread blocks, sipes and lateral grooves, without compromising the other performance aspects of the tyre.
