South African industrial equipment specialist SkyJacks is expanding its offering in KwaZulu-Natal from its Southgate Business Park facility in Umbogintwini, bringing additional equipment, technical expertise and support closer to customers across the region.

SkyJacks’ Durban branch has successfully operated its Suspended Access business in KwaZulu-Natal for many years and will continue to provide these services. From September, the branch will add the company’s Hydraulics Rental and Sales offering, with LiftingTesting & Inspection (LT&I) planned to follow later this year.

“Expanding our offering in KwaZulu-Natal allows us to build on the strong foundation we have established in Durban while bringing additional capabilities closer to our customers,” says Darryn Jacobs, Managing Director of SkyJacks. “Our priority is to ensurethat as we broaden our service offering, we continue to deliver the same high standards of safety, technical expertise and service that our customers have come to expect from SkyJacks.”

Building on an established Durban operation

SkyJacks’ Suspended Access business has been operating successfully from Durban for many years, providing customers with temporary suspended platforms and associated technical and service support.

The introduction of Hydraulics Rental and Sales will broaden the equipment available locally, giving KZN customers access to hydraulically driven mobile elevated work platforms, telehandlers, construction hoists and mini-cranes. These will be supported by SkyJacks’equipment expertise, servicing capabilities, 24/7 technical support and accredited operator training.

The expanded offering will strengthen support for contractors, industrial operators and facilities managers, providing greater access to specialist equipment and technical expertise within the province.

LT&I to follow later this year

SkyJacks also plans to introduce its Lifting Testing & Inspection (LT&I) business to KwaZulu-Natal later this year.

The staged introduction of these services will allow SkyJacks to ensure that the necessary resources, expertise and support are in place as its local capabilities grow, while maintaining the quality and safety standards for which the company is known.
