To relive the exciting historical re-enactment of the Freccia Rossa (‘Red Arrow’), Alfa Romeo is sharing on its official social media channels and Press website the best shots taken during the race, to delight fans all over the world.
They begin with images of the first stage yesterday, kicking off from Brescia’s Via Venezia and arriving in Turin, there again for the first time in 76 years. To reach the Piedmont capital, more specifically Piazza San Carlo, the convoy of vintage cars passed Palazzolo sull’Oglio, Bergamo, Novara, and Vercelli, and was welcomed everywhere it went by a cheering public that packed streets and squares full of great charm and history.
The track featured the official Alfa Romeo team consisting of the two vintage cars in the race – the 1900 Sport Spider (1954) with the renowned driver Nicola Larini at the wheel, and the 1900 Super Sprint (1956) – and those in current production: the new Junior compact sports car and the exclusive Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport.
