Motorsport South Africa has recognised Red-Lined Motorsport team principal Terence Marsh for his outstanding contribution to the sport. Marsh was presented with his Special Award at MSA’s glittering annual awards dinner in Johannesburg over the weekend.
“I am somewhat surprised, but truly honoured and proud to be recognised for my contribution to South African motorsport,” Terence admitted. “It’s been a wild and adventurous ride with so many great memories and achievements along the way. Not just for me, but for the incredible team I have had around me, so this one is actually for all of us, as without them, none of this would ever have happened!”
MSA recognised businessman and Red-Lined Motorsport team principal Terence, who is also a former professional cricketer and National Off Road Champion, for his dedicated support of the South African Rally-Raid Championship for more than two decades. 2005 Special Vehicle as well as Class A champion Marsh has raced well over 100 South African raid events, something only ever achieved by a handful of competitors.
Terence’s dedication to the sport also includes more than ten years of service on the MSA Cross Country Series, where he continues as a trusted advisor to the National Rally Raid Championship.
Chasing his lifelong dream of racing the Dakar, Marsh founded Red-Lined Motorsport in 2012 to address an international lack of quality rally raid race cars. Today, Red-Lined has over fifty cars competing in twenty countries around the world, with the team’s cars finishing an incredible fifteen of 18 Dakars started over the years.
Marsh together with his team have built Red-Lined into an internationally recognised leading constructor, servicing local and international clients via distribution hubs across Europe, China, and the Middle East from their Kyalami base.
