Hennie de Klerk plans to continue on his winning ways as he and navigator Juan Mohr carry on with their preparations for Dakar 2024 at the Inland Off Road Championship Coetzerdam 300 on Saturday 10 June.
De Klerk has enjoyed a splendid season so far, based on a double debut victory aboard his brand new TreasuryONE WCT Hilux T1+.
“We have enjoyed really good start to our TIORC campaign with the all-new TreasuryONE Hilux,” Hennie explains. “The car has been right on the pace from the outset and that has seen to us leading the TIORC FIA class title chase into round 3 at Coetzerdam. “Juan and I have had more time to learn to work as a team after our first outing together last time out, so the short term aim is to keep that winning momentum up this weekend.
“Our TreasuryONE Hilux T1+ is as much tribute to Stuart Thompson and the WCT Engineering team for developing an incredible package quite literally out the box, as it is to Tjaart from Race Prep, who built the car and runs our little team. Our main focus, however, remains clearly on our Road to Dakar, so the more we learn, the better we get. To win in the TIORC is just a brilliant bonus!”
TreasuryONE Racing’s all-new WCT Engineering Toyota Hilux T1+ race is designed to offer serious amateur drivers a vehicle capable of taking on the best, while still racing on a reasonable budget.
