Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit book selling out fast

The much anticipated book Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit – 60 Years of Memories has been launched. Presented to media, contributors to its creation and among its subjects at a function at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit’s John Love Launch Area on Friday 25 November, the 500 page book will be distributed to buyers over the coming weeks.

The 30 by 30 centimetre large format coffee table style Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit – 60 Years of Memories, covers the illustrious racetrack’s deep history including all its many international and local races over the years. Featuring over 1,500 images, the book is divided into six chapters, starting with the early years and the origins of the circuit, before contemplating each season of competition, year by year from 1961 to 2022.

That’s followed by an index of every notable Kyalami race depicting many of those events’ programme covers, before moving into a comprehensive photographic section. Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit – 60 Years of Memories then moves on to more than 220 memories submitted by many a Kyalami legend and personality over the years. The book concludes with a tribute to the many local photographers that contributed to the publication.

Presented at Kyalami by Roger McCleery Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit – 60 Years of Memories is Published by Denis Klopper, edited by Roger Houghton, laid out by Chris Dawson, and printed by Kevin Hellyer’s Camera Press with the foreword by Toby Venter.
