Having pioneered the subcompact SUV category in India, the Punch has earned the trust of over 800 000 customers and continues to rank among the country’s highest-selling vehicles. The all-new Punch builds on this strong legacy with enhanced technology, contemporary SUV styling, improved safety and a higher level of standard equipment, while retaining its accessible starting price of R224,900. The all–new Punch will be offered in three derivatives across two powertrain options giving customers the freedom to choose from what suits their needs best.

A Modern Design

The new Punch introduces a refreshed front-end design that strengthens its distinctive SUV character. Powersight LED headlamps and daytime running lights create a contemporary lighting signature, while a redesigned 3D front grille and integrated Bull Guard Bumper reinforce its bold, purposeful stance. At the rear, the Infinity Glow LED taillight creates a distinctive lighting signature, complemented by a Trail Guard rear skid plate that reinforces the Punch’s rugged SUV styling. A selection of wheel designs, including the distinctive 16-inch Trailcrest alloy wheels, completes the refreshed exterior appearance. Complementing the refreshed design are a contrasting roof and roof rails that reinforce the Punch’s distinctive SUV character and contemporary appearance.

A Modern Intuitive Cabin

The new Punch’s cabin combines contemporary design with thoughtful practicality and comfort. Its wide-opening, 90-degree Command Entry doors make getting in and out easier, particularly for families with young children, while a spacious interior and Galaxy ambient lighting create a welcoming and sophisticated environment for occupants. A premium dual-tone dashboard introduces a more sophisticated interior design, complemented by the Ultra View Twin HD Digital Cockpit. A 17.78cm (7-inch) Ultra View digital instrument cluster places essential driving information directly ahead of the driver, while the illuminated two-spoke steering wheel combines distinctive styling with convenient access to key vehicle controls.

The new Punch offers a choice of 20.32cm (8-inch) touchscreen or larger 26.03cm (10.25-inch) HD Harman infotainment system, depending on derivative. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are standard across the range, providing seamless smartphone connectivity and bringing familiar apps, navigation and entertainment into the cabin.

The CentraLuxe Console incorporates practical storage and cup holders, while rear air-conditioning vents enhance passenger comfort. An audio system featuring four speakers and four tweeters elevates the entertainment experience, complemented by convenient wireless smartphone charging and front and rear USB-C charging ports. The new Punch features extended thigh support for both front and rear occupants, enhancing comfort on daily commutes and longer journeys. A height-adjustable driver’s seat allows drivers to tailor their seating position to their preference.

Two Distinct Performance Propositions

The new Punch range comprises of three derivatives with two distinct powertrain options. Pure+ and Adventure models feature a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 65kW and 115Nm, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. For the first time in South Africa, the Punch range introduces a turbocharged engine option, offering customers increased power and torque. The flagship Accomplished+ S features a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 88kW and 170Nm, paired with a six-speed manual transmission. 

Pure+ and Adventure models offer selectable City and Eco driving modes, while the turbocharged Accomplished+ S operates with a dedicated Sport calibration, delivering a more responsive driving character to complement its increased power and torque.

Three Well-Equipped Derivatives

The Pure+ establishes a strong standard-equipment proposition at the R224 900 entry price. It features LED headlamps, touchscreen infotainment, a reversing camera and cruise control.

Building on the comprehensive Pure+ specification, the Adventure derivative adds a 360-degree surround-view camera and Blind View Monitor, providing greater visibility when navigating tight spaces and everyday traffic. Automatic climate control, push-button start, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers further enhance convenience and comfort.

At the top of the range, the Accomplished+ S builds on the Adventure specification with larger digital interfaces and a voice-assisted sunroof. Together with its turbocharged engine, these enhancements establish the flagship as the most comprehensively equipped Punch in the range.

Six Airbags Across The Range

Safety remains central to the new Punch, with the latest model further strengthening its occupant protection credentials. Alongside a five-star Bharat NCAP rating for both adult and child occupant protection, the introduction of six airbags as standard across all three derivatives represents a meaningful enhancement to the safety offering in the sub-compact SUV segment. Underpinning these safety credentials is the Tata Safety Dome - a 360° shield engineered to deliver beyond conventional safety standards. It provides a strong foundation for occupant protection, complemented by the vehicle’s comprehensive passive and active safety systems.

The new Punch further supports driver confidence through technologies such as electronic stability control (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control and real-time tyre pressure monitoring (iTPMS). ISOFIX child-seat anchorages add reassurance, while LED fog lamps and a rear-window defogger contribute to visibility and everyday convenience.
