Fresh from its head-turning appearance at the Supercar Owners Circle in Andermatt, Switzerland, HWA AG (HWA) has announced plans for further international debuts of its new EVO ‘Concept Demonstrator’, with the car set to be shown at a number of Europe’s most prestigious automotive events this summer.

The Aurora, Scandinavia’s premiere concours event, will be held from 5-7 July within the immaculately manicured gardens of Norrviken in the picturesque Swedish town of Båstad.

The three-day event will see the HWA EVO introduced to Nordic audiences alongside the 2024 Scandinavian Concours d'Elegance. Commemorating milestones including 110 Years of Maserati and 120 Years of Rolls-Royce, it will also feature a Hypercar Experience offering a journey through automotive mastery in partnership with Koenigsegg.

The car will then make its UK bow at the world-famous Goodwood Festival of Speed, the show providing an ideal opportunity for attending global media and enthusiasts alike to experience HWA’s expert craftsmanship in person for the first time.

With this year’s theme 'Horseless to Hybrid – Revolutions in Power' paying homage to both 130 years of motorsport and the constant evolution of motoring that it has driven, it is fitting that pioneering HWA founder (and co-founder of AMG) Hans Werner Aufrecht will appear on Thursday 11 July in person alongside the first car to bear his name in full. He will be joined by major shareholder and member of the HWA Supervisory Board, Willibald Dörflinger, while CEO Martin Marx and CTO Gordian von Schöning will also be in attendance throughout the weekend to speak to media about the EVO project.

The highlight of the season will then see EVO ‘Chassis 000’ go under the hammer with R.M. Sotheby’s, with the first example of HWA’s uncompromising reinterpretation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 EVO II set to be one of the stars of the Tegernsee Auction.

Held in association with the Concours of Elegance Germany, ‘Chassis 000’ will appear alongside the EVO Concept Demonstrator when it goes under the hammer on 27 July. With allocations of the 100 production examples nearly sold out, the event offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for bidders to own a piece of HWA history.

The HWA EVO has been developed using state-of-the-art technology to modernise the powertrain, chassis, brakes, aerodynamics, comfort and safety to produce an uncompromising reinterpretation of a classic.

Priced from €714,000 (plus local taxes), with the first units expected to be delivered by the end of 2025, those interested in further information regarding the allocation of HWA EVO build slots and chassis numbers should contact the company directly here, or speak to a member of the HWA team at any of this summer’s events.
