Viareggio–Rome: stage 3 of Alfa Romeo's 1000 Miglia

Stage 3 of the 1000 Miglia was held on 13 June 2024, with Rome as its destination. Setting off from Viareggio, the convoy veered inland to pass through Lucca followed by Pontedera, Rosignano Marittimo, Bibbona, Castagneto Carducci, until it reached Castiglione della Pescaia, a gem to be discovered that offers an incredible combination of the sea, nature and history.

In the afternoon, it entered Lazio via Marta – a fishing village overlooking the southern shores of Lake Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe – and later passed Ronciglione, famous for its Carnival and last year elected the most beautiful village in Italy. And as always in almost a century of history, the only place the most beautiful race in the world could arrive is the most beautiful city in the world: Rome.  Its arrival on Via Veneto is a celebration for everyone and Alfa Romeo's cars are immortalized on the smartphones of the enthusiasts waiting for them to pass.

Almost like another go at the 1950s paparazzi flashbulbs, when Alfa Romeos accompanied stars and actors through the evenings of the Dolce Vita.
