MasterDrive is participating automotive event in a number of different ways. If you are attending the Festival this year, we encourage you to stop by and visit the team at pit 29 and 30.
Women with Drive – STRIVE (24 August)
Following the resounding success of last year's Women with Drive, MasterDrive is proud to present the event once again, in partnership with Castrol. Eugene Herbert, CEO of MasterDrive, says: “The event pays homage to women who strive for excellence. A panel discussion led by various occupational therapists will discuss regaining the ability to drive despite challenges that may have otherwise prevented it.
“Motorcycle racers, Nicole van Aswegen and Morongoa Mahope will share their perseverance to strive. Women with Drive celebrates the unyielding determination of women who have achieved their best against all odds. Their stories illustrate why one should never stop striving to reach the top," says Herbert.
Motorcycle Raffle (24 to 27 August)
During the Festival of motoring, there will be a raffle to win a MV Augusta F3 800 Martini Edition. “The motorcycle is valued at over R100 000 whereas tickets will cost just R250 each*. The draw will take place on the final day of the event but you do not need to be there in person as the winner will be notified post-event.” says Herbert.
MasterDrive VIP Track Experience (25 to 27 August)
For adrenaline enthusiasts, MasterDrive is providing VIP track experiences. These are pre-booked before the event and not available for sale. “In partnership with Dunlop, a special experience around the Kyalami track will take place in MasterDrive’s Hi-Performance Mustangs. For the lucky ones, they will feel the exhilaration of being in a Mustang on track with our racing team,” says Herbert.
Launch of MasterDrive Driver Search (25 to 27 August)
Building on the success of the 2022 Driver Search, MasterDrive is expanding the initiative to a national scale. “At the Festival, the Driver Search will be launched. Aspiring drivers from previously disadvantage backgrounds across South Africa can compete for a spot on the MasterDrive team competing in the Simola Hillclimb. It is an opportunity within motorsport that will provide many opportunities to young drivers.
“We eagerly anticipate welcoming attendees to this year’s Festival of Motoring. We highly recommend visiting the show this year and joining us in creating another MasterDrive adventure,” says Herbert.
