SCRS Consumer Tip: Social Media is not Real Life

Social media can be interesting and entertaining, and if you are watching this video, you probably love a goof clip, reel, or video!

But Mike and Danny talk about how art doesn’t always imitate reality, or how social media might glamourize the aesthetic process of making a wrecked or totaled vehicle look good again on camera, but what is underneath that pretty paint job may not have relied on the proper repair processes as intended by the engineers.

These videos may also set unrealistic timelines of how quickly a job could be performed, as a team of people focuses on one car for a show, and obstacles are edited out. It’s important to talk with your repair facility about expectations and separate some of the facts from fiction.
