There is already an encouraging response from delegates wishing to attend CAR’s Digital Dealer Conference, sponsored by the Innovation Group, and co-located with the WesBank SA Motoring Experience at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and Conference Centre on 1 September, according to Neil Piper, Ramsaymedia’s Group Publisher.
“The theme of this year’s conference is very topical, being ‘The digital economy: how motor dealers need to adapt to align with consumer buying trends’ and we have lined up an impressive list of qualified local and international speakers to provide information on all aspects of this complex subject,” explained Piper.
“Vehicle buyers now turn increasingly to the internet and mobile devices to guide them through their purchasing decisions by way of search, online reviews, social media, and user-friendly experiences. This behaviour requires dealerships to adopt innovative technologies and digital strategies to maintain their competitive advantage,” added the Ramsaymedia executive.
Topics that will be covered include: Navigating the digital retail landscape; The path to greater profitability via customer service improvement; Building a competitive advantage using powerful, owned, earned and paid digital marketing strategies; future trends of service plans; Unlocking and leveraging the value of social, best practice and key measurements to engage car buyers; Geo-targeting; real-time targeting to be part of the digital conversation and mobilty trends
Leading the impressive list of speakers will be Keynote John O’Donnell who served as Sales Director of the Innovations Group’s UK Motor Division before being appointed managing Director of Innovation Group’s EMaC Division in January 2017. (EMaC is the UK’s leading provider of service plans and customer retention). He will discuss future trends in service plans. Second Keynote is Madhu Nutakki, the Chief Digital Officer at Nissan Motor Corporation on Digital Trends + Exceptional Customer Experience.
Other speakers are: Crayg Hitzeroth, the Managing Director of Ad Dynamo, Twitter’s partner in Africa; Andries van Staden, Managing Director of the Innovation Group SA; Bruce Allen, Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers’ Association (NADA); Claire Cobbledick, Head of Core at Gumtree South Africa; Dave Duarte, CEO of Treeshake, a digital communications consultancy; Dylan Kohlstadt, founder and CEO of Shift ONE, a creative integrated digital marketing agency; Justin Coetzee, the founder of GoMetro, a mobile start-up based in cape Town; Nikki Harding, the Vertical Lead, Automotive Facebook, Sub-Saharan Africa and Shaun Bradshaw, the driving force behind the technology and solutions that are part of Altech Netstar’s DNA.
The Innovation Group, a multi-national provider of business process services to the automotive and fleet industries, is the headline sponsor of this popular motor industry event, which was held for the first time in 1996. Altech Netstar, which pioneered the stolen vehicle tracking and recovery industry in SA 22 year ago, is an associate sponsor, while the conference is endorsed by the RMi organisation and NADA.
