The AutObarn SuperHatch series class and overall titles will go down to the wire again this year
Looking good for an overall AutObarn SuperHatch title is Class B driver Nic Martin Rex Diff & Gearbox/ Dad Opel Kadett who has clear 37 points lead over nearest rival also class B, Zane van Zyl Credit Guarantee/S&T Tuning VW Golf on 101 points, yet another class B drives filling 3rd spot overall on 97 points is Andre Dannhauser Pro Auto Rubber Opel Corsa. The crazy points scoring system for the AutObarn SuperHatch series is working out well for the class B drivers this season
The two-race winning class A drivers Jonothan Du Toit Trans Africa Racing Honda is in 4th place overall on 93 points, one point ahead of Brett Garland AutObarn Total, Jonnesway, Sabat Honda who holds 5th spot overall on 92 points, with Chris Davidson Opel SuperBoss holding the 6th spot.
The premier Class A title will again go down to the wire this year in the AutObarn SuperHatch Series, with both Jonothan Du Toit Trans Africa Racing Honda one point ahead of arch rival Brett Garland AutObarn Total, Jonnesway, Sabat Honda, Chris Davidson is in 3rd spot on 64 points and in forth Tyler Scott Opel TS.
“It’s going to be another do or die 2 heats and Midvaal on the 14th of October with Jonothan and myself as it has been the whole season,” said Brett Garland. Both of us need maximin points to move up in the overall standings and to get the advantage in the A class, it will depend on my grid positions at Midvaal and winning the heats is all I can do and then hope for a clear run through the traffic and staying out of the way of the other drivers, which has been the situation this whole season, as they say that’s racing,” said Garland.
Nic Martin has the class B well wrapped up followed by Zane an Zyl and Andre Dannhauser in 2nd and 3rd spots in the standings.
Class C is headed up by Craig Priestley Tactical Fluid Ford Laser, followed by Barry Viljoen BB Diagnostics & Services Opel Kadett and Freddy Watkins
