South African Aviation Authority brings the world to South Africa as the first African country to host the International Flight Inspection Symposium

The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is excited to host the international aviation authority at the 2022 International Flight Inspection Symposium (IFIS) at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban, between 20 and 24 June.

This comes as a refreshing opportunity to reinforce South African aviation as a leading aviation sector in the global community, off the back of previous financial challenges some local airlines were confronted with and sporadic public concerns around aircraft safety. SACAA welcomes this opportunity as a country of choice to host one of the worlds most credible and anticipated flight safety conferences and recognises it as a recognition of South African aviation’s world class standards of flight safety and its continual efforts to maintain and develop its flight safety procedures to meet global benchmarks.

The International Flight Inspection Symposium comes at an apt time when the future of aviation is growing in public discourse where flight safety, innovation and entrepreneurial opportunities for local SMME’s will be put under the spotlight. SACCA, in collaboration with the International Committee for Airspace Standards and Calibration (ICASC) has curated a 5-day experience where the world’s finest aviation industry thought leaders will make up of an insightful line-up of keytnote speakers, presenters and panelist’s. The programme will see to a facilitation of discussions and insightful presentations around relevant flight inspection information, the Symposium presents an opportunity for stakeholders across aviation interests to convene for an exchange of highly specialised technical information, dealing with aviation systems operations and their impact on flight safety.
