WeBuyCars first in the market to offer auction finance to private buyers

In a world first, WeBuyCars has launched Bid to Finance, a new service which gives consumers the option to finance cars purchased on auction.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated WeBuyCars’ online sales, with dealers especially quickly adopting the technology to simplify their buying decision and processes. We make up to 600 cars available every day on our New Arrival online auction and wanted to extend this service to private consumers.  Bid to Finance gives private individuals the opportunity to not only enjoy the benefits of wholesale pricing but gives consumers the protection of finance terms and conditions, which have not previously been available during typical car auction scenarios,” says Janson Ponting, Sales Director at WeBuyCars.

Bid to Finance brings two significant improvements to private buyers. Firstly, access to finance as consumers are often reluctant to participate in online auctions because of the unavailability of finance, or because they are intimidated by the auction terms and conditions and secondly, a warranty.

Private buyers can now secure finance, with terms and conditions of a Bid to Finance transaction changing from auction terms and conditions to finance terms and conditions. To provide greater peace of mind, vehicles will be sold with a warranty. Furthermore, to make the process as easy as possible for buyers and to provide exceptional levels of customer service, consumers can rely on the services of a WeBuyCars finance and insurance specialist who will facilitate the auction finance application from start to finish.

“We constantly search to bring the best selection, best service and broadest offerings to our customers, and this new development ties in well with our philosophy of constantly improving our customer experience,” says Ponting.

Bid to Finance is currently available on selected models on WeBuyCars’ auction platform but will roll out to cover more vehicles, thus giving more options to buyers.  Test drives are welcome, and bidders are welcome to visit the branch where the vehicle is situated to test drive and inspect the vehicle before the auction commences.  Independent Dekra condition reports are available for all cars on auction.
