TecAlliance sets the stage for a data-driven future at Automechanika Dubai

TecAlliance, the leading expert for data management and processes in the automotive aftermarket, is excited to announce its presence at Automechanika Dubai, taking place from October 2 to 4 at Stand Number 5-A33 in hall 5.

Samy Mahta, the new Managing Director for Western Asia, and his team will showcase a range of solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of the automotive aftermarket in the Middle East. Moreover, TecAlliance announces the opening of a subsidiary in Morocco to support the digitalisation of the automotive aftermarket in Africa.

TecAlliance empowers businesses in the region to navigate the fast-paced digital transformation, the rising prevalence of electric vehicles, increased imports of Chinese vehicles, and the crucial need for reliable data in the aftermarket sector.

The dedicated Middle East version of the internationally renowned TecDoc Catalogue helps workshops, dealers, and car owners to precisely identify vehicles and easily find the right replacement part and allows parts manufacturers to boost sales. The TecDoc database has a high coverage of the vehicles sold in the Middle East. Users get product data and article information of the highest quality, provided and updated directly by international and local parts manufacturers.

To boost e-commerce activities, TecAlliance also offers digital solutions, based on TecDoc Catalogue data, that allow to create customised digital catalogues. The outstanding data quality combined with the white label catalogue solutions and personalised trade module help businesses reach their sales goals faster.

TecAlliance also presents TecDoc Product Management Analytics (PMA), the online tool for automatic data analysis and reporting for product range and portfolio management. PMA can help to identify the potential of a product range through market gap and competitive analysis and provide insights into the vehicle coverage. Based on the analyses generated by PMA, product managers can try to enrich cross-references and make products more visible, identify new market needs and fill gaps.

Introducing Samy Mahta as Managing Director for Western Asia

Samy Mahta assumed the role as Managing Director for Western Asia at TecAlliance in May 2023. He brings over two decades of experience as a senior executive in the global automotive aftermarket industry. With a strong track record of leading business development efforts across Europe and the Middle East, Samy Mahta has previously held top managerial positions with organisations such as Tenneco and 1Parts (part of Auto Distribution Europe). He has successfully led sales and marketing teams in emerging markets, including the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and Russia. Samy Mahta has lived in Lebanon, Belgium, and Dubai, holds a Master's degree in Business Administration, and is a Belgian citizen based in Dubai.

Advancing TecAlliance's presence in the Middle East

During his first weeks in the new role, Samy Mahta identified the significant growth potential in the automotive aftermarket, both for manufacturers and distributors in the Middle East and Turkey. He emphasised the critical role of data in supporting this growth and highlighted TecAlliance as the reference for data supply, partnering with all stakeholders in the value chain of this market. With a global presence TecAlliance is well-positioned to provide accurate data sourced from different continents. The company's initial focus markets in the region include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Expanding into the Maghreb region

TecAlliance is thrilled to announce its upcoming subsidiary in Casablanca, Morocco. This expansion reflects TecAlliance's dedication to supporting the digitalisation of the growing automotive aftermarket in Africa. After the opening of a subsidiary in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2021, the data expert is now establishing a second branch in Africa in Morocco. This will enhance local access to TecAlliance's global data offerings and facilitate collaboration with stakeholders from French and Arabic-speaking countries in the region. Robert Szwed, Vice President Africa, and James Brown, Sales Manager South Africa, will be at the exhibition to welcome visitors from Africa.
