Layton Beard resigns from the AA

The Automobile Association of South Africa (AA) announces the resignation of Layton Beard who has served as the Spokesperson and Head of Public affairs.

During his tenure with the AA, Layton made significant contributions to the AA. His initiatives have fostered a culture of honest and transparent communication with the media and other stakeholders. Through his advocacy for a review of the fuel price formula, his critical review of the proposed Gautrain expansion, and his commitment to road safety and promoting safer vehicles in Africa.

Bobby Ramagwede, the CEO of the AA, expressed his appreciation by stating, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Layton Beard for his service and contributions to the AA. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”

As the organization moves forward, the AA reaffirms its commitment to advocating for critical mobility-related issues. It aims to strengthen its initiatives and further enhance its role in promoting an inclusive South African mobility agenda, with the proactive involvement of its CEO at the helm.
