EQUIP AUTO, the international benchmark event for automotive aftersales and services for connected mobility, today announced the launch of its brand new event: THE EXTRA MILE by EQUIP AUTO, which will be held on Wednesday 16 October 2024 at La Seine Musicale in Paris.
More than just another event, THE EXTRA MILE by EQUIP AUTO is the definitive new European business event that will bring together all the players in the automotive industry from upstream to down. It will gather nearly 400 stakeholders to discuss the major challenges affecting today’s automotive industry. The day will also be the starting point for the countdown to EQUIP AUTO Paris, the much anticipated 50th anniversary edition to be held from 14 to 18 October 2025.
THE EXTRA MILE by EQUIP AUTO: A unique gathering to explore the future of the automotive industry and services
The new event’s name is a nod to the saying “to go the extra mile”, meaning to push one’s limits and always seek to go further. With the signature “accelerating innovations, celebrating milestones”, THE EXTRA MILE will bring together all the players in the automotive sector for an afternoon of top-level panel discussions at this venue perched on the Île Seguin, in the middle of the river Seine.
As a historical home to the automotive industry under its former name of Île Renault, the Île Seguin thus offers a symbolic connection with THE EXTRA MILE, which also celebrates innovation and excellence in the automotive sector. This iconic location, witness to the rich history and French know-how in everything automotive, will be the setting for meetings between business leaders, decision makers, manufacturers, parts suppliers, distribution and repair networks, exhibitions, institutional partners, government bodies, and the French and international media.
The aim of the event is to take stock of the major challenges and opportunities at play in the sector, such as electric vehicles, durability, aftersales service, maintenance, used vehicles and more.
A comprehensive and stimulating programme awaits attendees, with talks and debates led by leading experts, and exclusive networking opportunities. Three keynote discussions will be dedicated to analysing the trends, challenges and actions that must be taken to shape a promising future for the automobile and service sector.
