This April, Mercedes-Benz Vans South Africa gathered to honour the outstanding achievements of their agents and dealers during the challenging climate of 2023.

The Mercedes-Benz Vans Agent & Dealer of the Year event unfolded in Knysna, the Jewel of the Garden Route. This picturesque location served as a fitting backdrop to celebrate not only success but also resilience in the face of adversity.

This year’s event was a testament to excellence. Twenty-one winners stood out for their unwavering commitment to various facets of retail operations. These exceptional achievers embodied the values of Mercedes-Benz Vans, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and increased innovation. The highlight of the event was the acknowledgment of two Chairman’s Award recipients, recognising the outstanding achievements of the Best Overall Agent and Dealer of the Year.

In the face of numerous obstacles and unexpected challenges throughout 2023, both on the international stage and within the local market, Mercedes-Benz Vans demonstrated remarkable resilience in South Africa. Notably, Mercedes-Benz Vans SA maintained their market leadership across their product portfolio’s respective segments. Particularly, the Mercedes-Benz Vito showcased exceptional performance, with a 28.5% year-on-year growth in retail sales. Beyond retail sales, the service and parts division exhibited remarkable growth, achieving an excellent 12.4% increase in revenue. This success was largely driven by a 125% uptake in service contracts, highlighting Mercedes-Benz Vans’ commitment to fostering long-term customer relationships.

Globally, Mercedes-Benz Vans demonstrated similar resilience and market leadership, resulting in a strong financial performance and record worldwide sales. In each product segment, Mercedes-Benz Vans went on to achieve its best annual result to date, with Sprinter leading the pack as the ultimate business partner and workhorse.
