Liqui Moly and AMP announce new marine and motorcycle distribution partnership

Marine and motorbike enthusiasts can now find specialised Liqui Moly products on the shelves at more outlets in South Africa through a new distribution partnership signed with After Market Products (AMP), a distribution arm of Tuning Fork trading as Yamaha SA, announced in October.   AMP will distribute the Liqui Moly range of oils, additives and service products to the various motorcycles, marine and accessory retailers, a move which is set to add enormous value to customers in these markets.

Backed by German innovation, research and development, Liqui Moly trades in over 130 countries globally. The premium brand has shown strong market growth in South Africa’s competitive lubricants market since its launch here in 2008, particularly in the automotive category, with passionate local customers driving demand. With over 4,000 products available across the automotive, motorcycle, cycling, marine and aero segments, Managing Director Melicia Labuschagne says Liqui Moly SA has been putting strong strategic partnerships in place to ensure excellent service and maximise the potential in all categories.

Liqui Moly will add to AMPs wide product range, including Shoei helmets, Acerbis, RK Chains, Pro Grip, Jobe Sports, Salt-Away, Ultra Flex, and VR46 products.  Robin van Rensburg, Managing Director of Tuning Fork, says, “Liqui Moly is a fantastic product and their innovative approach in marketing their product range closely aligns with the direction we are taking. As the official international lubricant sponsor for Moto2 and Moto3 since 2015, intense testing and track feedback ensures that Liqui Moly remains at the top of the game for motorcycles.  For the road, off-road or race circuit, AMP will distribute Liqui Moly Motorcycle products including motor oils, gear oils, tuning fork oils and filter oils, as well as additives, for two, three and four-wheeled vehicles from mopeds to motorbikes. A range of care products like chain grease, leather balm and visor cleaner round off the motorbike selection.

The Marine range includes products for the smooth operation of diesel and gasoline motors, as well as service and care products perfectly geared towards maritime needs. Unique solutions include a highly effective biocide to fight diesel pest. The Liqui Moly Advantage App recently launched for South Africa, will help customers to easily find the right product for their specific needs, with immediate rewards.
