The Honeywell Garrett PowerMax turbocharger exclusively from TurboDirect S.A is a direct fit Turbo Charger designed for the 3.2L Duratorq 5-cylinder diesel engine platform found in the 2011 – 2015 Ford Ranger PX and Mazda BT-50 (aka pre-facelift model). This forged, fully machined compressor wheel design stemmed from the ball bearing GTX Gen II product line, increases flow by 20% over the OE wheel. The revised turbine wheel and turbine housing makes this turbocharger a completely new redesigned unit, which is unlike the popular hybrid upgrade turbochargers. The hybrid is simply a larger compressor wheel with no turbine improvements.
With the correct engine calibration, this enables the engine to be tuned up to 172Kw from OE standard of 147kW. All Honeywell Garrett PowerMax direct fit turbo chargers are outline interchangeable with the OE turbo charger ensuring a perfect fit. Adding some hardware compliment upgrades like exhaust, intake, and intercooler, will allow power levels of around 200KW to be achievable.
