CGI Creative Graphics International, a NAACAM member and first-tier OEM supplier to the local and international markets, has supplied DT Dobie, based in Nairobi, Kenya, the graphics sets for developing two limited edition packages for the VW Polo.
DT Dobie, which manages the VW dealerships in Kenya, requested assistance from CGI. “We immediately pulled in our design and engineering team to create a range of concepts to support VW’s requirement. The result has been the approval and supply of the sporty body and bonnet racing stripe option and a more traditional version which included a body side stripe and a Kenyan map adjacent to each indicator, both in the Kenyan national colours,” explained Shaun Rosenstein, MD of CGI.
CGI has also recently been awarded the supply of product to Mobius Motors. The Nairobi-based manufacturer produces one of Africa’s first locally built vehicles. The project is led by Ravi Ramiah (Design Manager), Megan Julies (Customer Services Manager) and Gary Delcarme (Business Development Manager).
“CGI has been active in the MEA region for more than 15 years assisting various clients in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan and the GCC region. The CGI design team is able to understand quickly and interpret the unique cultural elements which dictate the different design requirements from one country to another,” Mr Rosenstein added.
“Backed by more than 35 years of design and print experience, as well as being an IATF 16949, ISO14001 and Ford Q1 certified supplier, CGI is well positioned to offer the African continent a bespoke African graphic solution. With the drive for African countries to localize and develop their own, CGI is certainly proud to be able to support the market.”
“CGI carries a range of print and branding solutions for the Automotive, Mining, Agricultural, Recreational, and Industrial markets. Product includes large format print, 3D badging, specialised labelling and full turnkey commercial branding,” he said.
