The feedback we have received from many fuel terminals is that the aftermath effect of the national lock down is that all the terminals are looking at cutting and saving costs. We understand this, and would recommend that terminals rather allow us to replace their loading arms gas struts, bearing seals and grease plugs as an alternative to a new loading arm. This will be cost effective for the terminals who are already in hard times and allow the loading arms to perform at its highest level. Loading arm repair offers:

Level 1

Service or repair swivels at the customers premises but not requiring to remove the arm from the gantry

  1. Inspect of the loading arms
  2. Grease swivels, coupling
  3. Grease gas-strut
  4. Pressure Testing
  5. Calibration of the arms hardness and softness (operating adjustments to suit the envelope of the gantry and easier loading for operators)

Level 2

Remove the arm from site

  1.  Full refurbishment of the swivel assemblies
  2. Check for damages or defects on the coupler, break-a-away and swivels
  3. Replacing ball bearings, seals, grease nipples and needle rollers
  4. Pressure Testing
  5. Calibration of the arms hardness and softness (operating adjustments to suit the envelope of the gantry and easier loading for operators.)

A drive off can result in damage to control valves and pipework, this damage renders valves in operable resulting in massive loss of containment with catastrophic consequences for personal and environment.
